Our company has been recognized by the government as a MPE specialty company.

The system (of MPE companies which specialize in the research, development, and production of materials, parts, and equipment) was instituted under the “Act on Special Measures for the Growth of Materials and Parts” of Korea in 2002, with the purpose of enhancing the technical competitiveness in such areas as R&D and production of the materials, parts, and equipment industry. Under this system, companies that concentrate their core business in this industry are recommended, examined, and granted the designation.

Whether a company’s business area belongs to the materials, parts, and equipment industry depends on its satisfaction of the following requirements:

1. Its product contributes to making final products using it greatly increase their added value;

2. Its product involves advanced technology or core high-technology that brings about a big technological ripple effect or produces a high added value;

3. Its product forms an industrial base or creates a large cross- or inter-industrial effect;

4. Its product results in disruptions in main industries’ production chains unless the supply does not go smoothly.

With the reception of this designation, our company is able to obtain additional scores in our participation in R&D programs initiated by the ministries of the central government, specially by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy; therefore, we can advance the development of biomaterials and consequently secure competitiveness in the future.
