UNIQUE BIOTECH Signs MOU with Soonchunhyang University for AI-Powered Biohealth Innovation
On October 23, Unique Biotech Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Soonchunhyang University to foster innovation in the AI-driven bio-healthcare industry and to cultivate next-generation convergence talent.

The signing ceremony took place at the university’s main campus and was facilitated by Soonchunhyang’s Office of Industry-Academia Cooperation. The agreement aligns with Korea’s Glocal University 30 initiative and the National Project for Specialized Universities in Advanced Fields, focusing on digital transformation and AI convergence in bio-health.
Unique Biotech, a leading bio-venture company in functional health foods, specializes in safe and innovative products derived from natural ingredients such as Propolis. Through ongoing R&D and patented technologies, the company has established strong technological competitiveness both domestically and internationally.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will:
Co-develop AI-based biohealthcare education programs and practical environments,
Operate joint capstone projects to help students gain real-world experience,
Collaborate on Proof-of-Concept (PoC) validations and commercialization strategies,
Establish a regionally specialized smart cluster for the bioindustry,
And expand a wide range of mutually agreed joint initiatives.
Professor Yong-Seok Lee, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Office at Soonchunhyang University, remarked,
“This MOU represents a strategic synergy between the university's AI research capabilities and Unique Biotech's field technologies. It lays the groundwork for positioning Soonchunhyang as a national hub for AI-medical convergence.”
Moving forward, the university aims to expand this model of industry-academic cooperation through key research centers such as:
The Advanced Talent Training Center for AI-Driven Biopharmaceutical Discovery,
The Bio Big Data Analysis & Research Support Center,
And the Research Institute for Utilization of Indigenous Animal Resources.
